If you are left handed or if you have a hook shot then this course may suit you.
Eastwood Golf course is set in Idyllic scenery that makes playing Golf a delight, however, it's not a course for the faint hearted or the unfit golfer - unless you hire a cart, as there are plenty of undulating fairways and blind holes. Although golfing shoes are the only shoes allowed on the course - hiking boots wouldn't go amiss here.
It is a beautifully kempt course, with lush fairways and greens, although the many water hazards are suffering from the drought. There are a few nasty surprises with bunkers around the front of the greens and the deep, high lipped kind too.
There are very few flat tees to greens, they are either high tees to low greens, low tees to high greens or more often than not where the greens and tees are roughly the same level the fairway is higher than the tee and green, making your end target hard to picture.
Add to this the tricky, undulating fairways with cambers to the left or right and you'll be in for a disappointing time when you discover what you thought was a perfectly placed ball, wasn't and it has rolled down the slope to the opposite side, delightfully frustrating but a worthy challenge.
In order to make this course count your short game will need to be in tip top order, the greens are mainly fast and uneven, so make sure you get as close to the hole as possible to ensure the strokes don't add up.
All in all, if you like a strategic, challenging game of golf, then this course should suit you to a tee.
