Our Story

Why We Built golfity

We were frustrated

We'd read about strokes gained—how it revolutionized the way tour players think about their game. But when we looked for an app with real strokes gained analytics, we found nothing.

So we built it ourselves

Our goal was simple: give every golfer access to the same analytics that PGA Tour players use. Make it work on any phone. No sensors, no complicated setup.

Now we're growing

Three years later, golfers around the world use golfity to understand their games and improve faster. We're just getting started.

The Science

Built on PGA Tour Data

Strokes gained was developed by Professor Mark Broadie at Columbia Business School using millions of shots from PGA Tour ShotLink data.

Academic foundation

Mark Broadie's research proved what many suspected: traditional statistics like fairways hit and greens in regulation don't actually predict scoring. Strokes gained does.

Same methodology

golfity uses the same methodology. Every shot you track is compared to PGA Tour benchmarks, giving you the same insights tour players get.
